The new Hybrid VRF (H-VRF) system uses an innovative combination of VRF technology linked to water based fan coils.

Mitsubishi Electric

Refrigerant is only used in pipework between the external condensing unit and the Hybrid Branch Controller (HBC). Water is then used to transfer the energy from the HBC to each bedroom to supply hot or cold water to each fan coil as necessary.

H-VRF is particularly suited to hotels as there is no refrigerant in the bedrooms, just water. This complies with BS EN378 recommendations, so there is no need for leak detection.

HBC Contained

Valves, pumps and heat exchangers all contained within the HBC

No need for leak detection

No refrigerant in occupied spaces, so no need for leak detection
